Mathstronaut Privacy Policy
Effective
Mathstronaut does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. This policy explains what the game keeps on your device and why nothing leaves it.
Mathstronaut is a math game for kids, published by CraftBuild LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("CraftBuild," "we," "us"). This policy covers the Mathstronaut Android app (package tools.craftbuild.mathstronaut) and the web version of the game.
Information we collect
We collect no information from you or your child. Mathstronaut has:
no accounts, sign-ins, or email addresses
no advertising
no analytics, crash reporting SDKs, or tracking of any kind
no in-app purchases
no chat or other way to contact other players
no internet access: the Android app does not request the internet permission, so it cannot send data anywhere
Because nothing is collected, nothing is sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Information stored on your device
To save progress, Mathstronaut keeps up to four player profiles on the device itself. We never receive a copy. Each profile holds:
a nickname of up to 10 characters, chosen by the player (it does not need to be a real name)
an avatar color and ship customizations
the school grade, if one is picked
game progress: skill levels, scores, stars, trophies, and unlocked items
the calendar dates the profile was played, used for play-streak trophies
music and sound volume settings
On Android, profiles are saved in the app's private storage. In the web version, they are saved in your browser's local storage.
To delete this information, delete the profile inside the game, uninstall the app, or clear the app's storage in Android settings. For the web version, clear the site data for the game in your browser.
Device backups
If Android backup is turned on, Android may include the saved profiles in the device owner's own Google backup, so progress carries over to a new phone. Google handles this backup under Google's Privacy Policy. CraftBuild cannot see or access it. You can turn backup off in Android settings.
Children's privacy
Mathstronaut is made for children, and we do not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. That is consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families policy. Profile nicknames and progress stay on the device, and no one at CraftBuild can see them.
Permissions and third parties
The Android app requests no permissions. It contains no third-party code that collects data: no ad networks, analytics services, or social media integrations.
Google, not CraftBuild, runs the Google Play Store and the Android operating system. Google may collect information about app installs and crashes under its own privacy policy. The web version is delivered as plain files from a web server, which may keep standard request logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and operation. Those logs are not used to identify players.
Changes to this policy
If Mathstronaut ever starts collecting or sharing information, we will update this policy and its effective date before that change ships. We will not collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent.
